Clarity, which manages perceived loudness without crushing dynamics, and Stem Focus, which lets you target processing at a single element inside a stereo mix, are the standout additions in this version.
The trade-off is cost and complexity. Advanced sits at a premium price, and the sheer number of modules and options carries a real learning curve. Lean too hard on the assistant and presets and it's easy to over-process. It's also worth being honest that Ozone 11 has since been superseded by Ozone 12, so it makes most sense to buy only at a clear discount.
Against its alternatives, Ozone plays a different game. Pro-L 2 is a superb dedicated limiter but only handles the final stage; Ozone gives you the whole chain. Gullfoss is a fast, near-magic tone-balancer with almost no controls, where Ozone is the deep, hands-on toolkit. Decapitator is a saturation flavor tool, not a mastering suite at all.
