Privacy Policy

What this site collects, what happens to an address you give us for a deal alert, and how to get it removed.

Effective November 2, 2026. This policy covers blog.dubspot.com and its deal alert emails.

Who runs this site

Dubspot is a brand operated by Resonate Tech, Inc., 651 N Broad St, Ste 206, Middletown, DE 19709-6402, United States. For anything in this policy, write to support@dubspot.com.

Deal alert emails

On a Black Friday page with no live deal you can ask for one email if a deal goes live on that page. You sign up with your address and a consent box, then confirm through a link we email you. Nothing else is sent until you confirm, and no sale is promised.

For each alert we store:

  • your email address
  • the brand or category page you signed up on, and its language
  • the consent wording you agreed to, and when you agreed and confirmed
  • when the alert was sent

We use the address only to send the confirmation and the one alert. Our legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. To stop repeated abuse of the form we also keep a keyed hash of your IP address, deleted within a day. We do not track opens or clicks in these emails. We do not sell your address or give it to retailers.

How long we keep it

  • Never confirmed: deleted after 7 days.
  • Alert sent: kept 12 months as the record of your consent, then deleted. The unsubscribe link keeps working until then.
  • Confirmed, but the page never gets a live deal: deleted after 12 months.

Unsubscribing

Every email has an unsubscribe link. Using it stops all deal alerts to that address and deletes the address from the alert list at once. We keep a one-way hash of it so that it stays off future sends, and for the same reason that address cannot sign up again through the form. Write to support@dubspot.com if you want that hash removed.

Who handles the address

  • Twilio SendGrid delivers the emails.
  • Neon hosts the database, on Amazon Web Services in the United States.
  • Vercel hosts this site and the signup service.

These companies act on our instructions. They process data in the United States, so if you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland your address leaves your region when you sign up.

Analytics and browser storage

Every page loads Google Analytics, which sets cookies, and Rybbit, which keeps a visitor identifier in your browser's local storage. Both report pages viewed, where you came from, and your device and approximate location. Your deal alert address is never sent to either. The site also uses session storage to remember that you closed a deal banner.

Vercel keeps short-lived request logs. When a page is not found, the report in those logs includes the address requested, the referring page, your browser and your IP address.

Affiliate links and embedded video

Retailer links carry our partner id and, for some retailers, the name of the Dubspot page they appear on. In a deal alert they name the page, not you. Once you click through, the retailer's own privacy policy applies, and it may set cookies to credit the sale. The affiliate disclosure explains how that works.

Some articles embed YouTube videos. YouTube may set cookies and receive your IP address when a page with a player loads.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you, object to how we use it, or ask for a copy. Write to support@dubspot.com. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes

We update this page when what we collect changes, and the date at the top moves with it.
