Das Dubspot-Urteil

A two-oscillator 1979 Moog voice with a 16-step sequencer, Multidrive, and a 905-style spring. Intro €38.99 / $38.99 at Best Service through 17 September 2026.

Am besten für Producers who want a sequenced Prodigy ladder voice for leads and basses without buying a Minimoog-style three-oscillator synth.

Pros

  • ACE model of the 1979 two-VCO Prodigy plus sub-osc and noise
  • 16-step serial or dual 8-step sequencer with pitch, filter, and pan
  • Mono, 6-voice unison, and 3-voice poly
  • AAX, AU, CLAP, VST2, VST3 on Windows 7+ and macOS 10.9+

Cons

  • 3-voice poly will not replace a dedicated analog poly
  • Not a three-oscillator Minimoog
  • Spring is part of the voice, not a full reverb suite

Field notes

Überblick

Martinic Prodigy is an Advanced Circuitry Emulation model of the 1979 Moog Prodigy. The original two-VCO ladder voice is still there, with hard sync, glide, and a 24 dB/octave filter. Martinic adds a sub-oscillator, pink or white noise, Multidrive, a Moog 905-style spring, mono / 6-voice unison / 3-voice poly, MPE, and a sequencer that runs as 16 steps or two parallel 8-step rows.

It excels as a cheap analog lead and bass instrument with sequencing built in. Factory content is 300+ presets. Version 1.0.0 shipped 3 September 2026. Street price at Best Service is €38.99 / $38.99 excl. VAT through 17 September 2026.

The trade-off is scale. Three-voice poly is a bonus, not a pad workstation, and this is not a three-oscillator Minimoog. Compared with Mini V and Monark, pick Prodigy for the two-oscillator Prodigy circuit plus a step sequencer. Read the full Martinic Prodigy first look.
