Rocksolid TEQ-6P Runs a Valve EQ as a Live Circuit
Rocksolid Audio TEQ-6P is a six-band valve EQ that solves the circuit live. Standard is $109. Unique Edition is $159. VST3, AU, AAX. Free 14-day trial.

Rocksolid Audio sells TEQ-6P as a six-band valve EQ whose engine solves the circuit in real time. Every resistor, capacitor, coil, valve, and transformer is modelled and wired the way a hardware unit would be. Standard Edition is $109. Unique Edition is $159.
At a glance: $109 Standard / $159 Unique. VST3, AU, AAX. macOS 13 through macOS 26. Windows 10 and 11. Classic or Modern UI. A 14-day trial and a free demo. Buy it from rocksolidaudio.co.uk.
This is a first look at the shipping plugin and the official checkout. We have not run TEQ-6P in a session yet.
What TEQ-6P is
Most analogue-modelled EQs capture a snapshot. A curve. An impulse. TEQ-6P runs the circuit. The official distinction is simulation, not emulation. Your signal goes through the parts, live. The response is the circuit's own dynamics, not a frozen match.
That puts it next to surgical digital EQs and next to hardware-flavoured tube desks we already cover. FabFilter Pro-Q 4 is the transparent mixer. Kiive Audio VX-Q is a character EQ at a lower price. UAD Pultec is the passive tube reference. TEQ-6P is Rocksolid's own six-band valve circuit, not a named vintage clone.
The official brief is the circuit itself, not a named vintage clone.
The Unique Edition is the other half of that brief. Component tolerances go into the model. Your copy gets its own set and its own serial number. Standard uses the modelled tolerances shared by every Standard licence.
Six bands, two interfaces, the circuit options
Six parametric bands sit on the face. Gain, frequency, and type per band. Auto gain is on the official feature list. So is oversampling.
Two skins ship with the same engine. Classic is knobs and switches. Modern adds an FFT analyser and grabbable bands. Pick the one you will actually look at. The circuit does not change.
Three valve styles and three transformer styles are first-class options. Those are voicing choices inside the same simulation, not extra plugins. RA Hardware Compatible is on the same list: TEQ-6P talks to Rocksolid's hardware line where that path exists.
The official sound examples on the product page run guitar, piano, and overheads dry against wet. That is the intended first listen. A valve EQ that only moves a curve is not the pitch. A valve EQ that changes how the circuit pushes those sources is.
Display needs 1440 × 900 or 1280 × 960 or higher. Memory is 2 GB RAM. Those are the printed system rows, not a guess.
Standard versus Unique
Standard Edition is one machine licence and standard modelled tolerances. $109.
Unique Edition is three machine licences, a unique unit serial number, unique randomised tolerances, unlimited transfers, and a licence that can be sold. $159.
The Unique copy is one specific virtual unit. No two Unique licences share the same tolerance set. That is the hardware analogy Rocksolid wants: factory parts always varied a little, so two units never left sounding identical.
If you work on one machine and you do not care about a serial, Standard is the circuit. If you want the unit-to-unit variance, the extra seats, and a licence you can transfer or sell, Unique is the SKU.
A free trial card sits next to both. Fourteen days. No billing details. Standard modelled tolerances. A separate demo download is on the same page.

Pick TEQ-6P when you want the EQ to be a running circuit, and when Unique's per-copy tolerances are part of the purchase. Pick Pro-Q 4 when the mix needs surgical bands, dynamics, and a graph you trust on every session. Pick VX-Q when you want colour at $39 and you do not need a unique serial. Pultec stays the passive tube boost if the move is a low-end shelf, not a six-band valve desk.
Soothe 3 is resonance control, not a valve EQ. Parish Audio's parametric compressor is dynamics. Neither replaces a six-band circuit EQ.
$109 is under Pro-Q and over VX-Q. You are buying Rocksolid's simulation, not a FabFilter workflow.
Who TEQ-6P is for
TEQ-6P suits mixers who want a valve EQ that reacts like parts in a box, and who will use six bands rather than a two-knob Pultec move. Unique suits anyone who wants a serialled unit, three seats, and a licence they can transfer or sell.
Skip it if you only needed a transparent surgical EQ. Skip it if $39 character is enough. Skip it if your Mac is still on macOS 12. Skip it if you needed CLAP.
The 14-day trial is the honest test. Load Standard tolerances first. Unique is a second decision about the unit, not a second EQ.

FAQ
What is Rocksolid Audio TEQ-6P?
A six-band parametric valve EQ that simulates the circuit in real time. Valves, transformers, and coils respond as they would in hardware. Classic and Modern interfaces ship with the same engine.
How much does TEQ-6P cost?
$109 for Standard Edition. $159 for Unique Edition. Both one-time.
What is the Unique Edition?
Your copy gets its own component tolerances and serial number. Three machine licences, unlimited transfers, and the licence can be sold.
Can I try TEQ-6P before buying?
Yes. A 14-day trial with no billing details, plus a free demo.
What are the system requirements?
VST3, AU, AAX. macOS 13–26 (Intel or Apple Silicon). Windows 10–11 (x64). 2 GB RAM. Display 1440 × 900 or 1280 × 960 or higher.
Verdict
TEQ-6P is a six-band valve EQ that runs the circuit instead of matching a snapshot. $109 Standard, $159 Unique, VST3 / AU / AAX. It will not replace Pro-Q 4 as a surgical mixer. If the job is a live valve desk with an optional unique unit, this is the Rocksolid plugin for that sentence.
