zplane TIMBRE is a real-time formant-shifting plugin released on 16 September 2026. It reshapes the resonant character of vocals, drums, instruments, and mixes without changing pitch. Dual High and Low bands can be linked for one-knob timbre-shaping or unlinked for independent ranges, with per-band On and Solo. A carrier section feeds either a built-in noise generator or an external sidechain for formant vocoding.
The engine is an expanded timbre-shifter based on zplane ÉLASTIQUE. Shift range is ±36 semitones. Latency is 23.2 ms at 44.1 kHz. Formats are AAX, AU, and VST3 on Windows 10/11 and macOS 13 or later. Official intro pricing is 33% off the €79 regular price through 30 September 2026 (€53). Plugin Boutique does not list TIMBRE yet; buy it from the official shop.
