Bogren A-Class Vocal is a small processor built from a custom-modified Type-A noise-reduction unit. The classic misuse was to print the encode stage and skip the decode, which leaves air and harmonics in the signal. Drive sets the sheen, Mix blends it, and Mod switches to a richer, glue-heavier flavor. Bypass is the A/B.
Bogren aims it at lead vocals first, then at acoustic guitar, drum overheads, synths, and the mix bus. It is not a de-esser and not a multiband saturator. Formats are VST3, AU, and AAX, on Windows 10 or newer and macOS 10.13 or newer, Intel and native Apple silicon, with AVX2 required. A 14-day trial runs at full functionality.
The official price is €89. Plugin Boutique has the intro at $89 from $119 through 25 October 2026. See the A-Class Vocal first look for who should skip it and how it compares with Fresh Air, Saturn 2, and MicroShift.
