Vienna Essential Orchestra is Vienna Symphonic Library's dual-orchestra subscription. The Synchron half was recorded in Stage A and ships with Room-Mix and Close. The Studio half was recorded on the Silent Stage and ships as a single dry channel. Both run in Synchron Player with Flow View. Coverage is strings (solo and sections), brass, woodwinds, percussion, and harp: 115,025 samples, 24.8 GB.
It excels as a Vienna core template when you want a cinematic hall sound and a dry studio sound on the same monthly bill. The price is €9.99/month.
The trade-off is depth. This is not the full Synchron or Studio series, Studio has no second mic pair, and authorization is iLok (dongle 2/3 or Cloud) with an SSD required.
Compared with BBC Symphony Orchestra, Essential Orchestra is two VSL rooms rather than a BBCSO Discover/Core/Pro ladder. Hollywood Orchestra Opus is the EastWest cinematic flagship. Nucleus is a perpetual cinematic essentials library. Read the full Vienna Essential Orchestra first look.
