InstaComposer 4 is W.A. Production's MIDI generation plugin, released 15 October 2026. It writes melodies, riffs, chords and full song sections, then hands you editable MIDI to shape by hand. The headline change is MIDI Engine 2.0, a rebuilt generation core the developer says improves rhythm, timing, phrasing and pitch selection. New Groove controls (Syncopation, Gallop, Density, Burst, Congestion) and a Foliage control add complementary notes and human feel, and the plugin now makes sound on its own through a built-in acoustic piano, General MIDI instruments, SoundFont loading and an integrated mixer with reverb and delay.
It generates up to six tracks with up to eight scenes per section, routes each part to its own MIDI channel, and loads presets from every earlier version. The intro price is $29.90 against a $129 list, with a $10 upgrade for version 3 owners. The nearest alternatives are Scaler 3, a chord and music-theory MIDI assistant at $99, and InstaChord 2 for chord performance. For the full walkthrough, see the InstaComposer 4 first look.
