Iftah Sting is an algorithmic acid-line MIDI sequencer. Four engines (Algo, Arp, Bass, Counterpoint) share a 16-step grid. Counterpoint writes two melody lines, chords, and bass across four MIDI channels. Optional Novation Launchpad or monome control is built in. The current first look is Riffer 4.
The paid license is 35€ plus VAT. A free version stays available with seven downloads per day. Formats are VST3, AU, and CLAP on macOS 11+, Windows 10+, and Linux. Accessibility includes 15 color themes and direct screen-reader support.
Compared with Acid V it writes the line instead of playing it. Compared with Cthulhu or miniGRID it is an acid and counterpoint generator, not a chord toolbox or a generic lane sequencer. Read the Sting first look.
