Alternative Woodwind Soloists is the sequel to Fracture Sounds' Emotive Woodwind Soloists. Where the first library covered the centre of the family, this one records the instruments templates usually skip: alto flute, bass flute, bass clarinet, and tenor recorder. They were captured at Nave Studios, with close, mid, and far microphones, and they load in the free Kontakt Player.
Smart Legato uses lookahead for connected intervals and same-note repeats. Smart Trills trigger when you hold two notes, up to a major third on the alto flute and a major second on the others. Shorts, tenutos, swells, and two velocity-based performance patches cover the rest of the 31 articulations. An ensemble patch stacks all four for a sketch. Instrument Placement can move players among 15 seats in the hall, including instruments from the other Soloists libraries.
