This February, New York’s Ableton Live User Group meets at DubSpot. Join Dennis DeSantis to catch a glimpse at the new Ableton Live 8. Live 8 enhances the Ableton vision of creative, real-time digital music with a wealth of new techniques, effects and most-wanted workflow improvements. As part of the exhibition, Dennis will also have the new Akai APC 40, a MIDI controller built specifically for Ableton Live. The APC 40 is designed by the same engineering team responsible for Akai’s iconic MPC range of products.

Dennis DeSantis is Ableton’s Head of Documentation and works as a composer and sound designer. He received a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Eastman School of Music. His electronic music appears on labels such as Global Underground, Cocoon and Kanzleramt, and he has performed throughout North America, Europe and Japan. His concert music is widely performed, and recent highlights include a 2007 Carnegie Hall commission to arrange the music of Autechre for chamber orchestra. He received a Grammy certificate in 2008.
