Panoramica

The UAD EMT 140 Classic Plate Reverberator is Universal Audio's EMT International–endorsed model of three physical EMT 140 plates captured at The Plant Studios in Sausalito. As of August 4, 2026 it runs as a UAD Native (UADx) plug-in on macOS and Windows. No Apollo or UAD-2 Accelerator is required.

It is a plate, not a room. UA presents Plates A and B as worn-in original EMT electronics and Plate C as a brighter Martech-serviced unit. Plug-in-only Width, Balance, Modulation, EQ, and predelay go past the hardware. Live price on August 19, 2026 was $79 intro / $149 regular, and the title is included in UAD Spark.

Choose the 140 for vocal and snare plate duty. Choose the EMT 250 for 1976 digital programs, or Valhalla FutureVerb if you want rooms, halls, freeze, and echo in one $50 plug-in. Our native EMT 140 + 250 first look has the spec and comparison tables.
