Stemwire Mica is a hybrid software instrument with two source slots, four engine types (Macro 1 / Macro 2, also called Multi 1 / Multi 2, plus Modal and FM), a sub oscillator, a noise generator, two filters, four effect slots, and fourteen modulation sources you can drag onto any parameter, including modulation depth. Multi 1, Multi 2, and Modal are based on Mutable Instruments Braids, Plaits, and Elements under the MIT licence. The FM engine is Stemwire's.
Verified 1 September 2026: $59 intro / $89 regular through 13 September. VST3 and AU on macOS; VST3 on Windows. No iLok. Five devices. Unlimited demo with occasional noise bursts. Version 1.0.1. We have not scored it.
