Space Replicator Free is Lewitt's no-cost tier of its acoustic-simulation plugin, released in September 2026. It models a real, treated studio control room, Lewitt's own Studio a, and plays your mix back through it on headphones, so you hear speakers in a room instead of the flat in-head image of raw headphones. It runs as a VST3, AU and AAX plugin and as a standalone app, with no iLok and no watermark.
The feature that makes the free version genuinely useful is calibration. It supports over 800 headphone compensation profiles, the same as the paid versions, so the room model sits on a neutral foundation corrected for your specific headphones rather than on top of their own coloration. Standalone operation, added in a recent update, lets you reference finished tracks and other applications across your whole system.
What the free tier trims is breadth, not quality: one room and a reduced set of reference systems, where the paid Essential and full versions add multiple studios, live venues and translation checks for phones and laptops. For a producer who mixes on headphones and owns nothing like this, a single trustworthy room reference is most of the benefit. See the full Space Replicator Free review. Dubspot Score: 8.2/10.
