P252 MDN Diode is Pulsar Modular's collaboration with Marc Daniel Nelson on a rare 1968 Neve 2252 germanium diode-bridge compressor from Wessex Studios. It is a $165 one-time plugin in AU, VST3, and AAX, with a 15-day demo and a two-machine challenge/response license. Current installer is v1.0.12.
The official page presents it as a character compressor for bass, rock vocals, and drums that need attitude, not as an invisible leveler. Controls include Trim In, Threshold, six ratios plus Linear, Response Time (75 ms to 6 s), a 40–400 ms Release the hardware never had, feedforward/feedback sidechain, Drive, Heft, and Mix.
