Arturia AstroLab is a stage keyboard built to run Arturia's software instruments as standalone hardware. It carries eleven synthesis types, more than 1,800 onboard presets, four performance macros and twelve insert effects, and it reads the same preset world as Analog Lab and the V Collection so sounds move between the desk and the stage.
The free AstroLab 2.0 firmware update adds a front-panel Sound Edit view that maps each instrument's key parameters onto the four macro knobs, more than sixty new sample-based instruments including an eight-velocity-layer piano, and improvements to sampler polyphony and Analog Lab linking. The line comes in three sizes: the 37 at around $699, the 61 at about $1,999, and the 88 near $2,399.
