UAD Capitol Studios is Universal Audio's native model of Capitol Studios A and B in Hollywood, released on 4 November 2026. It includes a mic locker, the rooms' consoles and outboard, and four of Capitol's underground echo chambers. Built on UA's Dynamic Room Modeling, it models how sources such as drums or piano radiate into the room, and you can drag the mics around in real time. It is $249 at Plugin Boutique.
| Mode | What you get | Use it |
|---|---|---|
| Re-Mic | Room, mics and source-to-mic direct path | On an insert, without the dry track |
| Reverb | Early reflections and decay only | On a send, or for tracking |
These are rooms and chambers rather than a long algorithmic hall, so it suits acoustic sources, drums, vocals and ensembles more than synth pads. Latency is higher than other UAD plug-ins. If a plate is what you need, the EMT 140 does that job.
