SpectraDuck is HoRNet's spectral sidechain ducker. It analyses the sidechain with an FFT in real time and cuts the ducked track only where the two sounds overlap, so a kick at 60 Hz pulls the bass down around 60 Hz and nowhere else. Amount, Range and Sharpness set how hard, how deep and how precise the cut is. An HP/LP detector filter, Auto Time, Lookahead, three MS modes and a Delta listen mode refine it, and the display shows the input, output and gain-reduction curve live.
Latency is about 5 ms with host compensation, and the plugin passes audio untouched until a sidechain arrives. It costs €29.99 direct from HoRNet.
Kickstart 2 and On Tap are cheaper curve duckers that create a rhythmic pump rather than clearing masking by frequency. Read our SpectraDuck first look for the comparison with Trackspacer.
