TELEPRINTER is 23audio's text-driven instrument, released in October 2026. You type a line of text, then play notes, and the plugin reads the text one character per note in time with your DAW. Capital letters, lowercase letters, numbers, symbols and spaces each map to a different sound, so a word becomes a rhythm and a melody. Six robot voices can read, spell, babble or sing your words, and the mod wheel scrambles the character order on the fly for a generative take on a fixed phrase.
It covers both sound design (computer chatter, alarms, glitches, game-style blips) and music (arps, leads, basses, plucks and keys), with instrument voices spanning glass, pluck, harp, felt piano, music box, hum and two distorted basses. It ships with 161 text-loaded presets, and KEEP TEXT lets you run your own words through any patch.
Intro price is $44.99 (from $54.99), with £39.99 and €44.99 launch pricing in those regions, sold directly by 23audio in VST3, AU and AAX. The nearest reference points are iZotope VocalSynth 2 for robot and vocoder textures from a real vocal, and the same developer's V-23 Voice Processor for spoken-word mixing.
