Acon Digital Acoustica 8 is a standalone audio editor backed by a full restoration and mastering toolset. It occupies the same space as iZotope RX and Steinberg SpectraLayers: the software you open to clean dialogue, repair a noisy recording, remove hum, or finish a master, rather than to arrange a song.
Version 8, released September 10, 2026, rebuilds its two most-used restoration processors on machine learning. DeNoise 3 and DeHum 3 now run on trained models, so they no longer need a captured noise profile before they can work, which removes the fiddliest step in the old workflow on difficult material. The interface has been fully redesigned around a Launch Page and dockable, rearrangeable tools, while frequency-based spectral editing and the full Restoration Suite carry over. Premium and Ultimate add up to eight channels, immersive support, and VST3, AU, and AAX plugin versions.
Acoustica 8 comes in three perpetual-license editions, Standard at $149, Premium at $299, and Ultimate at $449, with a 25% launch discount until October 6, 2026. Read the full Acoustica 8 breakdown for specs, editions, and how it compares.
