Atavism is a spectral effect from Parallel Minds. One knob takes a track, a bus, or a master from the dry performance to a pad made of that performance's harmony. Attacks drop out. The chord stays, and it changes when the track changes, because the pad is built from the same partials. Shimmer adds the octave above, still in key. Pulsation keeps a long bed from sitting still. Two filters cut the pad only, so the dry bass and air are left alone.
Version 1.0.2 is the current build. Latency is about 300 ms, or about 170 ms in Short mode, and the host compensates. Eight factory presets cover light blur through a distant cloud. Nine parameters automate, and every knob learns MIDI. The same settings bounce the same way, Pulsation included.
The launch price is $29, then $39, one key for both platforms, sold from the Parallel Minds page. Activation needs no account and no internet. The demo is the full plugin with two seconds of silence at the end of each minute. Formats are VST3 and AU on macOS 11 or later, and VST3 on Windows 10 and 11. There is no AAX build.
Use Portal when you want granular grains and an XY macro, listed at $149. Use Valhalla Shimmer when you want a pitch-shifted reverb at $50, or Valhalla Supermassive when that space should be free.
