Sonuscore LUX Orchestral Brass is the second library in the LUX series, and it was recorded on the same stage as LUX Orchestral Strings, with dedicated Brass Bleed and Orchestra Bleed microphone positions. That shared room is the main selling point: brass and strings from LUX blend without the usual fight to glue two vendors' acoustics together.
The library covers a full American layout, from Solo Horn and Horns a4 to Trumpets a3, Tenor Trombones a3, Bass Trombone, Bass and Contrabass Tuba, and Cimbasso. Long articulations carry up to six separately recorded dynamic layers, so the mod wheel moves through real changes in timbre rather than a volume curve. Auto Divisi instruments for horns, trumpets, and trombones keep the section size intact while splitting players across the notes you play, and S.A.T. lets a held note move from legato into sustain without retriggering.
The trade-offs are size and price. You need at least 59 GB of free space, and $499 buys one section. For LUX Strings owners the $299 crossgrade changes that math. If you want a full orchestra in one purchase, Hollywood Orchestra Opus is the broader pick, and BBC Symphony Orchestra Discover is a free starting point.
