Maschine 3 is Native Instruments' beat-making and production software, the software side of the long-running Maschine hardware line. It runs standalone or as a VST3 or AU plugin inside a DAW, and it is built around a pad grid, a pattern sequencer, and a sampler.
The free 3.7 update, released on 23 September 2026, adds generative sequencing to that grid: a random note generator that writes notes from odds you set, a Euclidean sequencer that builds rhythms from steps, fills, and rotation with a live mode, and note probability that gives each note a chance value and re-rolls it every loop.
