Bloom Ensemble Mallets is Excite Audio's tuned-percussion instrument, built from piano, vibraphone, marimba, glockenspiel and bells. Rather than map one articulation across the keyboard, it wraps 112 BPM-synced samples in a step sequencer, four macros (Age, Lo-Fi, Bounce and Smudge) and a rearrangeable effects section, so a simple mallet figure turns into an evolving texture.
It ships with 250 presets across seven categories and lets you import up to 112 of your own samples, which makes it a sequencer for your own recordings as much as Excite Audio's. It runs as a standalone plugin in VST, VST3, AU, AAX and standalone formats on macOS and Windows.
At $59, with a $39 introductory price until 30 November 2026, it suits ambient, downtempo and cinematic producers who want melodic movement fast. The full first look is in our Bloom Ensemble Mallets feature, and you can compare loop-and-sequence instruments with Output Arcade.
