Dubspot is closing its physical locations, but the spirit of learning and creativity continues online. This blog post looks back on Dubspot’s history, its impact on music production education, and what’s next for aspiring producers and DJs worldwide.
Founded in 2006 in New York City, Dubspot began as a small school dedicated to teaching electronic music production and DJing. From day one, our mission was clear: empower artists with the tools and knowledge they need to realize their creative visions.
Over the years, we expanded to include courses on Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Maschine, and other cutting-edge technologies. We hosted workshops, events, and guest lectures from industry leaders, fostering a tight-knit community of passionate musicians and producers.
Thousands of students have come through Dubspot’s doors, many going on to successful careers as producers, DJs, and educators themselves. We’re proud to have played a part in shaping the next generation of music makers.
Our alumni have performed at major festivals, produced chart-topping tracks, and contributed to the evolution of electronic music culture around the globe.
Though our physical locations are closing, Dubspot is committed to continuing its educational mission online. We are developing new digital courses, webinars, and community forums to keep the spirit of collaboration and innovation alive.
Whether you’re a current student, alumnus, or supporter, we thank you for being part of the Dubspot family. We look forward to continuing to support your creative journey as we embrace this new chapter together.
