As the iPad was launched to the masses last year music creators everywhere coveted the prolific device, pondering what new wonderful, musical things they could do with it. Since then we have seen massive developments in music programs for the iOS operating system – from synths to DAW’s to unique user interfaces for music. But after a while many of us who were using these programs ran into a problem – how do we integrate this great device into our already refined studio workflow? The iPad seemed to offer so much in terms of control options but it was slow to deliver control options for DAW’s and computer-based programs.
One program that has aimed to bridge this gap from the get-go is TouchAble. Created to be an all-in-one controller for Ableton Live, TouchAble is currently the best app on the market for total control of Ableton. And it’s getting better. The company describes the program as follows:
This advanced and dedicated Ableton Live controller is used by many profesionnals producers, musicians and performers around the world : its advanced control options give it the advantage in terms of power and make it the obvious choice for studio use and live performance.
