MMIX Festival in NYC Oct. 8 – 11 | Dubspot Blog

The MMiX festival of Interactive Music Technology, produced by Theaterlab and curated by Patrick Grant, is “dedicated to the interplay of creativity and technology in the development of live performance.” Basically, these guys are going to collect a bunch of talented musicians, who are all pushing the boundaries of electronic music performance technology, add in workshops about Ableton Live and Max for Live, and host it in a cutting-edge performance venue and artistic community – we are happy to be a part of it.

Dubspot instructor Chris Petti will be there to host a free workshop on Friday, October 9th, at 6:30pm, which will give an introduction to Ableton that also contains some of his favorite tips and tricks. Also, Jon Margulies will be playing a set later the same night.
