Dubspot is proud to be involved with Complex and HBO to present Vinyl Collections, a series of interviews with cultural and musical icons from the 1970s who paved the way for the biggest talents of today. Check out Kool DJ Red Alert being interviewed at Dubspot’s NY home base.
Created by Mick Jagger, Martin Scorsese, Rich Cohen, and Terence Winter, this new HBO drama series Vinyl takes a look back at 1970s New York during one of the most storied and revolutionary periods in popular music. Seen through the eyes of a record label president, Richie Finestra (played by Bobby Cannavale), the show takes a ride through the many vices of the music business at the dawn of punk, disco, and hip-hop.
In honor of the premiere of this epic new series, Complex and HBO present Vinyl Collections, a series of video interviews featuring icons of the ’70s engaging in deep cultural discussions with successors of today’s modern music culture.
Check out every installment of The Vinyl Collections below and journey through four decades of creativity and passion that only seems to get better with age.
