EXCLUSIVE VIDEO :: In this video, DJ Shiftee shows a turntablist party routine using Native Instrument’s Traktor and Maschine together. Shiftee notes – “a lot of times, I get booked to play a party at a club, and some people will come to see me and expect to see a turntablist, but most people are there to dance and have a good time. I make routines like this to try to satisfy the people watching, but not distract the people dancing.”
This is the first of three videos; in part two and three, Shiftee demonstrates backspinning and MIDI mapping your controllers – offering tips and guidelines, describing and demystifying key techniques and tricks for people interested/looking to learn how to deejay.
