Serato have released a new upgraded DJ software application, Serato DJ 1.0, offering some exciting new functions and visual layout. The new software was released today in conjunction with Pioneer’s new DDJ-SX DJ controller.
Serato have released a new version of their DJ software that promises to heighten performance options and creativity with a new layout and added features. The software is launching in conjunction with Pioneer’s new DDJ-SX DJ performance controller, which was designed to work specifically with Serato’s new software, but more controllers will be supported in the future.
On the visual side, Serato has now included BPM, elapsed time, time remaining, pitch percentage, and pitch range in a concise design on each virtual deck. The FX have also been redesigned with ten different iZotope effects that can be assigned to each channel. Looking at some of the new features we find a new beatgrid editor, up to eight cue points, redesigned loop controls, and new view modes (library mode and an extended horizontal waveform).
