Nile Rodgers is a Grammy Award-winning producer, songwriter, composer, guitarist, and founding member of the long-running and highly influential disco and R&B band Chic. He has produced multiple number one Billboard Top 100 hits and written songs for pop music luminaries such like Diana Ross, David Bowie, Madonna, The B-52′s and more recently collaborated with Daft Punk, Avicii, and David Guetta.
In this exclusive video interview, Nile Rodgers talks about his recent collaborations with electronic music producers and artists including the French duo Daft Punk, Swedish DJ/producer Avicii, and David Guetta. Over the course of the interview he also discusses his early beginnings as a young jazz guitarist who viewed all pop and dance music with condescension, and learning a harsh but valuable lesson which led him to being an open and honest musician.
