Seth Troxler, Lee Curtiss, Ryan Crosson and Shaun Reeves aim to take hold of our attention with Visionquest – a new label that launches January 31, 2011. The first four Visionquest EPs have been announced and the inaugural release is by producers of the moment Benoit & Sergio, a duo from D.C. who made quite an impression with their recent Midnight People EP on Spectral Sound.

Here’s the latest roundup of the extremely useful video tutorial series for Propellerhead Record 5 and Record 1.5 by Propellerhead Software expert James Bernard. These video series are essential, if you’re currently using Reason, or are interested in learning the software’s production possibilities.

Tomorrow marks the release date of Sandwell District’s much-anticipated first album entitled Feed-Forward. Take your electronic music production skills to the next level Dubspot instructor and Dubstep producer Chris Petti who will be at the Apple Store in SoHo, NYC on Tuesday, December 21st from 7:00pm to 8:00pm, giving a free workshop on Ableton Live and Propellerhead Software Reason & Record.

To Pinch, its the enigmatic qualities of dubstep that make it interesting. The lack of rules keep it hard to label while its dependence on big systems keeps it off TV, so it remains an escape from everyday life.

Following up on the much-loved Minus Live Packs that Ableton gave to users in June comes a new set of 5 Live Packs that are free downloads for registered users of the software. The Create Diversity packs come as a nice change of pace from the Minus packs too. Taking aim at organic, world and experimental music these sets offer a broad palette of sounds and routings to work with and should inspire different avenues of creation.
