ShareWe are pleased to finally announce the winner of Dubspot Student Spotlight DJ Mix Competition. After the tally of Facebook Likes, Twitter ReTweets, and blog Comments, the top mixes were carefully considered by Dubspot DJ Instructors and faculty, and it was a tough decision for the Dubspot staff – to choose from a pool of incredibly diverse and strong mixes from students DJ Bramble, DJ Lady P, DJ Alpha, Michaelangelo, DJ Gene Drepan, DJ Jinetic, Basil Neil, Tommy Tench, and DJ KO5. Thanks to everyone who submitted their mix and promoted it; we enjoyed jamming to your sounds in our offices (and iPhones and iPods!) Before we announce the winner, let’s get to the honorable mentions firsts.
HONORABLE MENTIONS:
DJ Jinetic aka Young Lim is a DJ, graphic designer and an illustrator living in Queens.
Tommy Tench: Tommy Tench is a DJ and aspiring producer living in Brooklyn.
Basil Neil is a DJ/Producer living in Bosto, and his styles range from Progressive Trance and House Music to Electro and Breaks and everything in between.
DJ KO5 spins a wide range of styles from Electro House and Dirty House to Dubstep and Hip Hop.
AND THE WINNER IS…
Gene Drepan, an up and coming DJ living in Long Island and currently rocking parties around NYC. Gene gets a FREE Dubspot class of his choice, Dubspot Podcast, and a chance to play at an upcoming Dubspot event! Congrats Gene!
