Manipulating Dummy Clips On Instruments For Live Performance and Composition
Featuring Elijah B Torn and host Dan Freeman (CØm1x)
Tuesday, March 18, 2014 from 9:30pm to 11:00pm

On Tuesday March 18th, our Dubspot NYC Ableton Live User Group continues with guest instructor Elijah B Torn and host Dan Freeman (CØm1x). Elijah B Torn will discuss how to manipulate dummy clips on instruments for live performance and composition.

Elijah B Torn is rumored to have been born with a looping device in hand. He often loops electric bass and guitar, which are used as the centerpieces for creating haunting textures & sounds. However no sound is safe. From cassette tapes to field recordings, Torn uses them all to create his signature electronic sound including three solo cds, and 2 EPs. The albums have received air time on KCRW’s “Morning Becomes Eclectic”, WNYC’s “New Sounds” as well as (the late) Lou Reed’s SiriusXM radio show “NY Shuffle”.

To attend, please RSVP to the Facebook event and arrive early for sign-in. This FREE event is open to the public.
