DJ Kiva Drops New Mix :: Beauty & Ruin :: Live @ 3rd Ward and The Danger Haiti Benefit

Here’s a brand new mix from Dubspot EMP instructor DJ Kiva, who recorded the mix live in a packed warehouse in Brooklyn (with over 700 party people in attendance!) last Saturday. The event was put together by 3rd Ward and The Danger, who raised over $23,000 to provide housing for earthquake victims in Haiti – learn more about that here.

Kiva is one of the most adept and versatile musicians and producers around. He is a multi-instrumentalist (playing guitars, drums, keys, horns, and live electronics). Founder of Adios Babylon Studios and record label, he has performed and recorded with groups like Shape Of Broad Mind and Willie Isz, and released music on labels such as his own Adios Babylon, Bagpak Music, King Tubby Heritage, Tommy Boy, Kindred Spirits, Goya Music, etc.

For this particular performance, Kiva used MBP, Ableton 8, APC-40, Kaossilator, and Kaoss Pad II.
