Minimal Techno Tips Part 1: Add Space, Depth, and Dimension to Drums

In this Ableton Live tutorial, Dubspot instructor Michael Hatsis a.k.a. Banginclude shares his approach to adding depth and dimension to minimal techno style drums.

In this first video of a series of minimal techno tips, Dubspot instructor Michael Hastis demonstrates how he uses Return Chains in Ableton Live’s Drum Rack to add depth and dimension to various drum sounds by applying different flavors of reverb. Learn how to enhance individual sounds using Plate and Room style reverbs to create a richer sounding drum kit, as well as how to set up reverbs and use them creatively in your productions. In part two of the series, Michael will process the individual drum sounds further using modulation effects.
